Cadwell Baptist Church
The building that this Church now occupies is the same yellow brick structure on Dexter and Snow Hill streets that has been used since 1919. When the Church was organized in 1909, a wood building at the intersection of Walnut and Snow Hill streets were used. The first pastor was Eli Evans, and the first deacons were John Burch and A.S. Jones, and the first clerk was H.C. Burch. There were seven male charter members.
Centerville Baptist Church
Although there is a reference in the Minutes of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church in 1846 to “An Arm of Aid” being extended to Centerville schoolhouse, there is no such record of their having been a church there. The first record of such is in 1903 when a revival meeting was held in a tent with brother Jack and Brady Smith doing the preaching. When the meeting closed, members in the community concluded that it needed a church and would support one. The name Centerville was chosen for it. Continuing services, Rev. Jack Smith became the first pastor with twelve charter members: Lucian Wilson, Bell Fordham, Fonie Pope, Melicia Murchison, Lee Byrom, Mollie Thomas, W.F. Fordham, T.J. Dixon, Dora Green, Missoury Crumley, Mary Crumley and Senie Garnto. By the end of the year there were 50 members. The schoolhouse was used as the place of meeting until a church could be erected, and several years later when the school building burned, the school used the church for classes.

Dudley Baptist Church
Although the town of Dudley was not incorporated until December 2, 1902, Baptists in the area had organized a church in 1893. The first building was on Third Street, which is behind the present building, but it burned in 1907. Another structure was built on the same site and was used until the present one was completed. On April 10, 1946, a committee consisting of R.L. Hogan, W.T. Chappell, and Paul J. Jones had been name to begin preparations for erecting another building, but it was not until February 2, 1952, that construction began on land donated by Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Bobbitt.
