WMU Supper: Journey by Faith
WMU Salad Supper’s Guest Speaker, Juanita Neighbor Mrs. Juanita is currently 90 years old. She is from Alabama and got at 15 years old and joined the Methodist church at 18 years old. Her husband, James served in WW2 and then they were married in 1948. They moved to Dublin, GA when his job moved to JP Stevens. They moved to Dublin, GA 5 different times with his job. While at Marie Baptist during their 2nd time of living in Dublin the Holy Spirit began to convict Juanita by the Holy Spirit and was in battle with Satan for a week. After that week she accepted Christ as her Savior and has never been the same. Shortly after accepting Christ her husband, Ed accepted Christ too. They walked the aisle and were baptized together. She has been blessed over the years, not because of anything she’s done but because of the Lord. Juanita encouraged to participate in WMU. She feels stronger and more able to face challenges because of some of the struggles she has faced. Her husband recommitted his life to Christ in the 1970s and that improved the lives of their family as he became more committed to the Lord. Libby Young and Kassidie Ragan of the Mustard Seed Journey, Inc. shared with the ladies at the WMU Salad Supper. Libby shared that the Mustard Seed Journey is a home for ladies who want a fresh start due to some type of abuse or addiction. The program opened on January 15, 2016. The program is free to any lady in need of help. However, the ladies must have a desire to live for the Lord. Brewton Baptist Church is a partner to this program. I would like to encourage you to go to our Mustard Seed Journey page located on the LBA Ministries drop down menu across the top of our website. Kassidie is the spokesperson for the Mustard Seed Journey. She shared some of her story and how God used the Mustard Seed Journey to impact her life. The night's sharing concluded with a few WMU members sharing about the projects their church has been involved in.
