This year we are once again having the Law Enforcement Appreciation Day and a meal for all the law enforcement officers within Laurens County. I appreciate them so much for all they do to keep us safe and protect us and our families. They serve us and so often they do not get the respect or thanks that they so deserve. We are honoring them on May 19th at the Georgia State Patrol Office. There will be a meal that they can pick up from 11am to 2pm. We will be serving around 300 officers.
We are also expanding the recognition this year by asking our churches to honor the Law Enforcement personnel in their congregation and/or our county. We are honoring them by proclaiming Sunday, May 21, 2017 as Law Enforcement Day. Our WMU or Ladies Leader in each church is asked to make royal blue ribbons for their members to wear that day in honor of law enforcement and their families. The ribbons will need to be given out in advance or the Sunday before honoring our Law Enforcement.
We hope you will join us in our appreciation of the service these men and women render and the sacrifices they make in enforcing the law and protecting us in our community. We thank their families as well for their sacrifices. We especially honor the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
In His Service,
Bobby
