Delivering "Backpacks of Hope" in VA - July 28th-29th
What an experience and a privilege to give because He first gave! Even more, what an experience to love and show love, because He first loved us! Thanks to the LBA mission team who went to carry the Backpacks! We did deliver backpacks to Trammel Baptist Church in Trammel, Virginia and to Clintwood Baptist Church Clintwood, Virginia.
This event included sharing the gospel (telling others how to be saved). We had 10 people who accepted Christ (PTL)!!! We carried the LBA Block Party Trailer. So we offered popcorn, snow cones, face painting and food. The rain didn’t hamper everything too much because we gave away over 500 backpacks.
The number that showed up at Clintwood Baptist was awesome! The extra ones will be given out as both pastor’s sees the need. We have even more good news! As a result of this event, both churches had new prospects to attend church on Sunday. Some even said they will continue to attend! This was such great news for both churches! Please pray that others will be saved and God will be even more glorified! The following Laurens Baptist Association churches were represented on this mission trip: Brewton Baptist, Marie Baptist, Mt Zion Baptist, Olivet Baptist, Pleasant Springs Baptist, Poplar Springs North Baptist, Rentz Baptist, Rock Springs Baptist, and White Springs Baptist.
