The J.O.Y. Health Clinics are a 501 (3) c non-profit organization that was started in 2012 by local physicians, local pastors and the Laurens Baptist Association. Their mission is to provide much needed healthcare for the working citizens in Laurens County who can’t afford health insurance. Dr. Bob Shuman is the Medical Director and has been since the clinics’ inception.
Our clinic is a volunteer clinic, consisting of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, administrative / clerical people, church pastors and other Christians. This platform allows us to build relationships and share the love of Jesus with our community. Most importantly, we are able to share the gospel Christ with everyone who is seen in the clinic. They are open Monday-Wednesday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
