Senior Pastor
Brewton Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time spirit led pastor to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the members.
The candidate should be able to lead worship services based on the teachings in the Bible, based sound doctrine, and be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). The candidate should be supportive of Biblical education and discipleship training, have a vision for missions that extends to the local community and beyond in order to reach a broad population for Christ, good communication skills and the ability to interact well with all ages. The candidate should be committed to work with other church leaders and members to support efforts in discipleship activities, teaching, training, and community and other fellowship activities.
The candidate will be expected to follow the bylaws of the church regarding the duties of the position.
Brewton Baptist is a rural church located in the Brewton community in East Dublin, GA on N Peachtree Rd. It is a contributor to the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the Cooperative Program.
It is approximately two miles from the East Laurens school campus which houses the primary, elementary, middle and high school. It also houses the 3-5 year old special needs program as required by IDEA.
The current weekly services are Sunday A.M. worship, Sunday P.M. fellowship meal and Bible Study, and Wednesday P.M. Bible Study and prayer service. There are programs for the children and youth that run concurrently with the Sunday night services, a youth program on Wednesday night and children’s church during the Sunday A.M. worship. The church nursery is available during Sunday School and Sundary worship services. A member led Bible study for men and one for women are offered on other days of the week.
A pastorium is available on the church grounds.
